My Design Philosophy
01

Healing Begins Online

For many, your website is their first step toward healing. It should inspire the same feeling of safety, trust, and calm they would experience walking through your door. Not just with soothing colors, but with an experience that feels thoughtful, grounded, and effortlessly navigable.

02

Color & Font Psychology

The colors and fonts on your website aren't just aesthetic choices—they shape how a visitor feels. I discourage aggressive colors like red. They may be attention-grabbing, but they can also evoke urgency, stress, or even alarm—the exact opposite of what a medical professional wants to convey. Likewise, jarring or overly complex fonts can feel chaotic. Visitors feel overwhelmed.

03

Clarity Over Chaos

I avoid cluttered pages and overwhelming walls of text. They create anxiety, not safety. When a potential patient lands on a page that feels chaotic, they leave. When they land on something calm and clear, they stay.

04

Built From Scratch

A hand-crafted website gently nudges visitors toward the contact button—because when they feel safe, they feel ready to reach out.

"I build every site from scratch. Beginning with the very first line of code I optimize for security, speed, AI SEO, traditional SEO, clarity, and conversions. My goal is to create a confident digital space that is both calming and encouraging to your visitors and also works as hard as you do."

Matthew Williams

My services, your unfair advantage.

You're a therapist or psychiatrist. You know your online presence matters—but you don't have time for slow websites, SEO jargon, or designers who only understand template redesign and page builders.

Let's discuss business if you:

  • ✓ Want to eliminate HIPAA worries
  • ✓ Have an ROI mindset
  • ✓ Care about your search ranking
  • ✓ Are obsessed with patient experience
  • ✓ Need something more secure than a page builder website
  • ✓ Need someone who won't judge marketing required for the treatment of POCD, self harm, trauma, etc.
Technical TLDR (Boring. But Important.)

Why your website's speed determines if a patient books—or bounces.

The problem: Most therapy websites are built on bloated page builders like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress. They might look fine on the surface, but they are slow and carry a high inherent risk of patient data leaks—a vulnerability that requires constant security patching just to keep minimized because of their complex backend and third-party plug-ins.

The ripple effect of a slow site:

  • Google doesn't like slow sites. You rank lower. Patients find your competition first.
  • Patients leave. Studies show that if a website takes longer than 3 seconds to load on mobile, over 50% of visitors leave — often for good.
  • It kills trust. In healthcare, speed = competence. A sluggish site feels unprofessional and unsafe.
  • New visitors suffer the most. They don't have your 'save file'. Meaning the website isn't cached. They experience the long new load — often on spotty mobile connections.

My approach: I hand-craft every site from scratch beginning with the very first line of code. No page builders. No bloat. No backends. No third-party plug-ins. Just clean, fast code.

The result: Exceptional Google PageSpeed Insights scores. This allows you rank higher, your patients trust you more, and they book before your competition even loads.

Your Patients' Privacy is Non-Negotiable.

I don't build patient portals, and I don't trap your practice in data compliance traps. I build high-performance marketing websites that link directly to your existing HIPAA-compliant tools like SimplePractice or TherapyNotes if you use those.

What I handle:

Bottom line: Because your site is built on pure static code with no database—and completely blocks users from entering sensitive details like medical histories or diagnoses—patient records never touch your website or the server network. This keeps both of our businesses perfectly isolated from medical liability. We can discuss your specific portal setup during our call.

Your Website Should Work for Everyone.

I build with WCAG 2.1 AA standards in mind, prioritizing an inclusive experience.

What this means:

Why it matters: Not only is it the right thing to do, but accessible sites also tend to rank higher on Google, convert better, and help to protect you from potential legal liability.

Two Ways to Work With Me.

No hidden fees. No surprises. Just a premium website that works for your practice.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything you need to know before we talk.

How long does a site take? +

3–4 weeks, depending on how quickly you provide your copy and images. I focus on just one build at a time, so your project gets my full attention. I can also help with copy and imagery if needed.

Do I need to provide copy? +

Ideally, yes. But if you don't have it, I can help write it. However if it's copy regarding symptoms and other medical information, you or another medical professional will need to write it.

Do you offer SEO? +

Yes. On-page SEO is baked into every site — meta tags, schema, content structure, internal linking, and AI SEO optimization. However these things change from time to time and I will be there to update them to ensure you remain as competitive as possible. I also offer ongoing SEO as an add-on for landing pages, new service pages, and monthly reporting.

Monthly Plan or Lump Sum? +

Monthly Plan is a subscription with ongoing support, content updates, analytics, and strategy. Lump Sum is a one-time payment where you own a lifetime license. Both include the same hand-crafted, high-quality website. Pricing depends on the scope of your practice.

Is my patient data safe? +

Absolutely. I don't build patient portals. I build marketing websites that link to your existing HIPAA-compliant tools like SimplePractice or TherapyNotes. I never see any PHI . I use privacy-first analytics (Fathom) and Cloudflare for hosting — both are notorious for security and privacy. You don't need a Business Associate Agreement with me.

How do you take payments? +

Payments are processed securely through Stripe . I never see, store, or have access to your credit card or banking details. Stripe handles everything. You get a receipt. I get a notification. That's it.
